Giuseppe Dattoli, born in 1953, received the degree of “Laurea in Physics” in 1976 from Rome University. He has spent most of his scientific career working on accelerator and laser physics. He is also known for his contributions to the high energy physics and mathematical methods for applied science. He has taught in Italian and foreign universities and has been awarded with the FEL international prize in 1994 for his contributions in the field.
