Anton Targonsky PhD, Deputy Head of Science, Development of megascience research facilities Department, NRC “Kurchatov institute”. Currently, his main activity is aimed at implementation of the Russian Federal scientific and technical program for the development of synchrotron-neutron research and development of megascience infrastructure. Within the framework of this program, creation of a new unique research facility “SYLA” (Protvino, Russia), which is including a SYnchrotron radiation source and a Free Electron LAser based on single unified injection complex is carried out. His area of scientific interest is related to development of time-resolving X-ray methods for studying the defect structure of crystalline materials. It was demonstrated the possibilities of fast and precise variation of X-ray diffraction parameters, varying the angular position of the X-ray beam and controlling its wavelength. With his participation, a number of students, young specialists and postgraduates successfully passed their qualification trials. He is a co-author of more than 60 publications and 3 patents.
